Loose Change for Soyapango

"Loose Change For Soyapango" is an Advent activity for the children of Transfiguration Parish
Collecting loose change for the children of our twinned parish during Advent is a good way to prepare for Christmas, share a little of what we have, and show our gratitude to God for sending us the great gift of Jesus.

How does it work?
Labels are distributed to decorate a box or jar for collecting loose change during Advent. This activity concludes on the Feast of the Epiphany, January 2. Students bring the container of coins, or a check payable to "Transfiguration Parish Loose Change" to school, following Christmas vacation.

News
We collected $1,843.00 in loose change, in January 2010!  The Twinning Committee of Transfiguration Church and the children of St. Joseph the Worker School are extremely thankful!

During Spring 2011, Transfiguration 7th- and 8th-Grade students will be corresponding each month with the students at St. Joseph the Worker School as part of their Spanish classes.
