After-School Care Program

The After School Care Program is staffed by experienced teachers. It is a service provided for our school and religious education parents who are seeking safe, quality supervision for their children while the parent is at work. Children who participate in other extracurricular activities (Enrichment Program, Drama, Sports) may do so and return to the After School Care Program at the dismissal of the activity. The program will include free play activities, organized games, use of the library, snack, quiet time and homework supervision. It is suggested that children bring a change of clothes, including sneakers, so that they can participate more comfortably, Please put your child's name in all belongings.

Hours

The Transfiguration School After Care Program will be in session on all school days until 6 PM. On half days the program will begin at dismissal and run until 6 PM. Please be prompt in picking up your child. There is a late fee of $10 for every 15 minutes for children who are not picked up by 6 PM. Continued or excessive lateness will result in your not being able to use the program. In the event of a true emergency, please call the school and notify the teacher in charge that you will be detained.

Fees

The cost is $120 per child, per week; two children from the same family pay $145 per week, and three or more children from the same family pay $165 per week. Please note that weekly participants must use all five days in a week to get the weekly discount. Partial weeks will be charged at the per diem rate. Rates are based on planned participation and therefore any permanent change in schedule must be made in writing, giving two weeks notice. In the event that a weekly child chooses to participate in another activity, per diem rates will apply. Part-time participants are charged $26 per day for one child; two children in the same family pay $32 per day, and three children in the same family pay $36 per day, which should be paid on the day your child(ren) attends the program.

Fees are payable to Transfiguration School. Payment must be made seperately from tuition since these costs are tax deductible. Fees are due on the last day of the week for weekly participants. Per diem charges can be given to the teacher on duty on the last day of use for the week.
