Ms. Kazan was born and raised in California and moved to New York in 2015 when she was appointed principal of Saint Joseph School in Bronxville. Before moving to New York in 2015, Ms. Kazan served as the Assistant Principal of San Gabriel Mission Elementary School in San Gabriel California for four years. She was appointed to the faculty of San Gabriel Mission as their Middle School Social Studies teacher 2007. In addition to her daily responsibilities of Assistant Principal and teacher, Ms. Kazan served as the Technology Coordinator and oversaw the recruitment and admission process for the school.
During her career in education, Ms. Kazan has upheld a stellar record of student achievement by supporting professional development and collaborative practices among teachers, ensuring access to 21st century technology and pedagogical practices for students and continuing to promote a growth-mind set within the school community. Ms. Kazan holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of San Diego, and a Masters in Education Leadership from Saint John’s University.
